Transcript Notes:

Welcome back, everyone! This is Marissa from Wild Flowers In The Sky speaking to the general energy for the second week of February 2022. We have a pretty packed week to discuss, so let’s get started.

As mentioned, today we are discussing the general energy we may encounter within the week of, Monday, February 7, 2022, to Sunday, February 13, 2022.

And as always, I enjoy prefacing any sort of generalized reading with a few friendly reminders:

- Because this is general, take what I say with a few grains of salt. Unless an astrologer is looking at your personal chart, it's quite difficult for a resulting accurate reading. Which leads me to my next point...

- Consult your personal chart for accurate information. Cross-check what I share with your own chart, and where the energy is lighting up within that.

- And last but certainly not least, in any sort of sign-based scope, please do refer to your rising sign. Listening to what I have to say about your Sun Sign won't hurt, but astrologers create their readings based on rising signs, thus, the information for your rising sign will be more accurate than anything else.

Looking at a bird’s eye view of this week, we can see that we start the week with the moon in Taurus, and reach our first quarter phase on the 8 at 5:50 AM. Then on the 9th, the moon will move into Gemini, and into Cancer on the 11, where it stays until the end of the week.

And on a planetary view, this week our Sun is in Aquarius, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Capricorn; Jupiter in Pisces, Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, and Pluto in Capricorn.

Before we officially dive into this week's content, I wanted to share a quick quote by a favorite Astrologer and Philosopher of mine, Richard Tarnas: “Above all, we must awaken to and overcome the great hidden anthropocentric projection that has virtually defined the modern mind: the pervasive projection of soullessness onto the cosmos by the modern self's own will to power.”

If you're listening in on the podcast, then feel free to refer to my blog for a copy of this slide deck to see more details such as degrees from beginning to end of the week; and/or check out the video.

If you watched the previous video, you may recall that we ended the week with the Moon in Taurus. As such, we begin this week, Monday, February 7, 2021, with the Moon still planted firmly within it. But this Taurean Moon is a bit different from the moon we had on Sunday, the 6th.

February 7: Moon in Taurus

  • Today we have this huge relationship being formed between the Moon, Uranus, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter - with Mars being the main middleman of course. But even still, a lot of energy is prevalent - some of which the moon may not find particularly desirable. Before we discuss the aspects for today, I want to first center us on the energy supplied by the Moon’s placement in Taurus. As I mentioned in the last video, the Moon gets pretty stoked about being with Taurus. Why? Because the Moon in and of itself is cyclical, and always operating in an ebb-and-flow fashion. The sign Taurus is earthy, it’s firm, stable, and presently + till. (What I mean by present + still is that…Taurus is a very present sign, one that takes things as they come, and is calculated enough to rarely change directions. I think of Taurus’ motion like a duck gliding on the water - we know below the water, the duck is moving its legs, but above the water, the duck looks so still, peaceful, and serene. Just one of the ways I see Taurus). So this watery moon that is ever-changing in its cyclical fashion enters Taurus, and it’s almost as if the Moon finally catches a break. The Moon can feel supported by the stability + practicality that Taurus brings to it.) In understanding this, when planets such as Mars, or Uranus drop into the picture, we may find the moon provoked in undesirable ways. Instead of allowing the Moon a peaceful vacation, we are tossing in unpredictability (counterintuitive to the Taurus archetype), as well as reactive and easily excitable energy. Granted, the relationships being formed between the planets and the moon are beneficial + harmonious, and lest we forget, Venus and Jupiter are also intermixed, layering in a sweet and optimistic flavor, I think this day has the possibility of being a very interesting day. I don’t think it will be a disastrous day by any means, but there is a lot of power to this day and one that I’d suggest using for manifestation purposes.

  • Mars trine Uranus - I think of this energy as static shocks. Everything you touch is shocking you left and right. So much energy. And if you don’t know, those shocks come from the accumulation + build up of negatively charged electrons that then come into contact with positively–charged electrons. Once that contact is made, the negative electrons jump over to the positively charged item, and the rapid shift results in that shocking sensation. Mars is action, Uranus is spontaneous energy. Together they certainly can create some physical shocks. This energy can influence us to make quick decisions, and jump us to action sooner than usual. It can also inspire us to be more driven by what our intuition tells us.

  • Moon conjunct Uranus - The Moon is everything personal; Uranus is as distant as you can get. When these two planets meet up, as Uranus would guarantee, we can’t really say exactly what we may be feeling or experiencing. However, we can expect to be surprised. Uranus is abrupt, unexpected, unpredictable, and reflective of a lightning bolt. As such, we may experience disruptive feelings that lead with reaction opposed to the thoughtful response. Conversely, it also can indicate the possibility of a very energetic, excited, and bright kind of attitude. This aspect can be a powerhouse. We also know that these planets are both snuggling in Taurus, which will help ground out the levels of excitement. It also can create a fixated view. I’d encourage everyone to tap in with how they are feeling, and the direction they are going. We get to determine how we let these energies affect us; and so if you see yourself becoming more reactive in a not-so-positive way, then certainly process what you need to process, and allow yourself to swing on to the other side of the spectrum, where you’re ignited by the energy at hand opposed to trampled by it.

  • Moon trine Venus - This energy is one that encourages enjoyment in all that satisfies your senses. Art for your eyes, music for your ears, flavor for your mouth, candles for your nose, and textures for your hands + skin. We can grow dreamy about that which we desire, and may find ourselves a little love sick.

  • Moon trine Mars - Mars is likely going to encourage some impulsive action that is entirely based on our feelings. Our courage levels might increase, and our actions may reflect our feelings. I think this energy can also encourage us to take action on that which excites and ignites us. Knowing that today has a strong centered focus on being in tune with our feelings, and knowing that we have the Taurean energy available to stabilize, I think this day is so perfect for really connecting + calculating what intentions should be in our pocket; as well as mapping out the practical steps necessary towards the things that spark us up internally. Mars wants us to make moves - don’t be surprised if you!

  • Moon sextile Jupiter - This aspect speaks to the positive feelings, high hopes, and optimism that may be prevalent. I love when Jupiter aspects the Moon in an Earth sign. Jupiter is associated with the ability to be visionary. Earth signs aren’t - they’re too practical for it. They’re reality is centered in exactly that, this material world we open and close our eyes too. Jupiter pushes beyond that. It happily expands beyond what our society deems, “the real world”, (which, sidenote, is what Saturn is associated with). So why do I think this is a great combination? Jupiter can increase our confidence in our vision of this world, and Taurus can help us mold it into reality. This relationship is marrying our dream world with our real world. A very cool opportunity is before us. Because Jupiter expands all that it touches, we might find this expansion in our feelings arena. Don’t be surprised if your well of emotions goes deeper than usual; or if your level of love + generosity exceeds what you typically demonstrate.

  • Moon square Saturn - As the day continues, the Moon steadily moves within the chart, until it is setting up a square with Saturn. Squared relationships are often challenging relationships. Relationships that require some give and take, some compromise, and lending an ear as a means to come up with a solution. This square is being formed between two fixed planets; two planets that have different definitions of what a “good” approach looks like, and are not super interested in changing that up. Typically, this square can increase levels of insecurity; we can encounter feelings of unworthiness or isolated. But I think this square speaks more to an internal struggle with focus. Perhaps a small slap of reality as they say, and the original confidence boost and optimism surrounding the manifestation of our ideal life suddenly seems a bit more distant, and not as realistic. I think we can use this energy in a beneficial way. Instead of letting that slap of reality fully knock us to the ground, I think we can use it to help us identify the ways that our dreams seem unrealistic. And I’m suggesting this for two reasons: 1. To understand subconscious blockers that need to be blasted away (so they no longer block us from manifesting); and 2. So that we can begin crafting a realistic plan that will then ease our fears - the more realistic we make this plan, the less Saturn might make us feel inferior to it. For example - let’s say an intention of mine is to write a book. Maybe I make the goal of writing a chapter a month, but Saturn is laughing in my face. Well, now I know that I don’t really believe I’m capable of writing a chapter a month, so first I need to work on blasting that away; and simultaneously, I can determine that I’ll break down the goal to a micro level - I write 5 pages a week, and go from there. Listen to what Saturn has to say, listen to what your emotions say, and find that balance where you can make both happy. Don’t let one knock the other.

Overall, a very strong day with a lot of energy. This whole week is like this, haha!

February 8: First Quarter Moon in Taurus 5:50 am

We have now reached the First Quarter Moon in Taurus. Recently we had our New Moon, where we planted the seeds of our intentions. Now we are approaching our first checkpoint. And if you are following the model of the larger scale (New Moon in Aquarius to Full Moon in Aquarius to New Moon in Aquarius, and so forth.), then this is just one of the many checkpoints to assess your progress, your directions, and your intentions. Have you had a chance to implement the changes needed to work towards the intentions you set forth? Are your habits in need of changing? Is there a goal you can set for yourself on a micro level that will then integrate into your daily or weekly life so that your results come through ten-fold? If not, this is that time to sit down and do the dirty work of mapping this out, and having a conversation with yourself about integration. If you have been doing the work, then this is the prime time to assess your progress and determine what, if any, changes need to be made. And if no changes are needed, then it’s time to celebrate your progress:)

  • Moon square Sun - This aspect is related to the first quarter moon. Not sure if you know this already, but when the sun + the moon make a major aspect to each other, it is reflective of a particular moon phase. Sun square Moon indicates a quarter moon; Sun opposite Moon indicates Full Moon, and Sun conjunct Moon indicates New Moon. In a general sense, external of the moon phases, Moon square Sun could express an energy that reflects discord between the heart + the mind. There could be a conflict between what you truly feel inspired by, and what feels safe. What motivates you, and what nurtures you. In addition to the first quarter moon phase activities, this encourages us to really reflect on our goals + intentions. Do they bring up any uncomfortable feelings that cross any half of ourselves? Is there an inner blockage that needs to be released? Or are we forcing ourselves to be okay with something that isn’t alignment - but something that we think we should be doing or going after?

  • Moon sextile Neptune - The Moon and Neptune share a harmonious relationship that can increase our intuitive sense. We can use this aspect to tap into the intuitive skills + talents we have unfolding within, and apply our intuition to the present goals we have. This aspect can also increase empathy levels, and we may find ourselves highly attuned to how others are feeling. This energy can present a desire to unify with others - this doesn’t mean anything in the physical sense, but it can indicate a deeper understanding of how we are all one, and reflective of the other. Like the Law of Divine Oneness. This law speaks to the interconnectivity of all things (which is also what Astrology teaches).

  • Moon trine Mercury - When the Moon and Mercury are sharing a harmonious relationship, we may easily find ourselves giving proper words to our feelings. With this particular aspect, it is possible to find ourselves attracting luck our way through the act of communicating or articulating where we are. You might find that people are more prone to expressing themselves, and you yourself may fall right into that. If there is something you need to say to someone, I’d encourage using this day to script out whatever it is you want to say - but don’t share it with them just now. Allow yourself to reflect on it a bit more. Maybe you’ll wake up tomorrow or so, and determine you don’t want to share too, too much. If you find your imaginative abilities amplified in this time, use it to your advantage, and allow yourself to get creative with it. In tandem with the Moon’s relationship to Neptune, this is an excellent time to channel and express.

  • Moon trine Pluto - Later in the day, the Moon saddles up and makes a harmonious relationship with Pluto. If you’ve been listening long enough, you know that I’m a fan of using the Moon’s relationship with Pluto to help dig out the subconscious, and process whatever needs to be processed. With this aspect, we have the opportunity to access the deeper parts of ourselves, and we can break the taboo that sits within us. Much of our “shadow” is the denied parts of ourselves. These denied parts are not socially and/or culturally accepted. So we shove them down deep. However - they are still a part of us. We are humans after all, with emotions that range in all sorts of directions. And often, a lot of what is down there is in need of healing. Not only because it was shoved away, but because the taboo of it rose from us denying ourselves. Now is the time to reframe, and release. If sex is a taboo topic for you, explore why. It’s a human instinct, something that is genetically passed to each and every one of us via our ancestors and those before us. Traumas you may never have actually experienced, but your ancestors did, also can pass to you via DNA. It’s actually been proven that trauma from our matrilineal side can pass down into our own DNA, from up to 7 generations. I’m not 100% percent sure on that number, but I do believe it is around 7 generations. And maybe there is something in there that needs healing and releasing as well.

I’d certainly suggest meditating prior to ending the day; and if shadow work is needed, or a big cry, or a big release, then allow it.

February 9:Moon in Gemini

On Wednesday, February 9 at 2:27 am PST, we will observe the Moon’s ingress into Gemini. Gemini is a mutable air sign and is a rather social, and curious kind of energy. When the Moon is in Gemini, we may be influenced to share our thoughts, and hear different perspectives. It is possible to be a bit scattered with the Moon in Gemini - we might feel semi-restless, we might desire mental stimulation of a sort, and we can find ourselves bouncing from topic to topic, guilty of assuming we “get the picture,” despite little to no research. In this period of time, we might detach a little bit, and prefer space to clinginess.

  • Moon square Jupiter - This moon is squaring Jupiter (in Pisces), and in this situation, we have two mutable signs that approach things differently from one another. Gemini’s preference is to pull back and observe; Pisce's preference is to go all in, and absorb. With this challenging aspect between the Moon and Jupiter, we can find ourselves going the extra mile. Instead of extending genuine compliments, we might overdo it until we appear disingenuous. The flattery sounds superficial, and we heavily overestimate. This won’t be everyone’s case, of course, depending on your own chart, but it is a possibility that we overdo it. And when I say overdo it, I mean in all categories. Eating, sharing, supporting, feeling. We want to take a step back, and observe what we are feeling (Gemini); or, if we are a bit too detached, we may want to step in a little, energetically understand what is happening around us, and empathize with the moment to bring in more genuine energy (Pisces).

  • Moon sextile Chiron - Barbara Hand Clow tells us that: “[this aspect] creates a perfected vehicle for understanding how emotions can help or hinder spiritual progress.” This aspect reflects a healing kind of energy - but only once we understand that we are capable of healing ourselves first and foremost. We may be under an influence that allows us to understand others’ talents, needs, and wants in a way that embraces and increases compassion. So though we may begin starting out with a bit of superficiality and/or overcompensating, we end the day with the opportunity to understand and empathize with our own talents, needs, wants, and abilities. It’s so easy to focus on others and value them and their experiences; depending on the person, of course, it’s much more difficult to empathize with the self - and the personal wants, needs, talents, and abilities. I’d suggest an activity in which you treat yourself as if a client or friend is coming to you with issues around the same wants, needs, talent, explorations, or abilities. You may surprise yourself with the answers and advice you come forward with.

February 10:

On this day, the Gemini moon is flavored by the Sun, Saturn, and Neptune; and on top of it all, we have Mercury + Pluto tossed in there.

  • Mercury conjunct Pluto - Beginning with Mercury + Pluto, we likely encounter an inescapable pull towards expressing our deeper thoughts. Remember how the other day we wanted to express and make known our interpersonal thoughts and deep-set subconscious motives? Well, now we want to articulate them. If you have a therapist, coach, or even a close friend, now is the time to share the parts of you that you feel like sharing. And if you don’t feel like sharing, that’s okay. And if you do feel like sharing, but you have no one to share to, make a creative social media post. Someone out there will get it. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF OBSESSIVE - time to analyze and NOT give in. If you find yourself being too honest, time to reign it in. Planets are not an excuse to do or say what you want. You are always a free agent. Free willed. You are a grown human. You cannot blame the planets. Take control of yourself.

  • Moon trine Saturn - And as if on cue: The Moon trines Saturn, encouraging a level of control that is beneficial to our own being. With the Moon and Saturn in such a beneficial relationship, we have a more managed, more stable, and more tolerable kind of attitude. We might find that we can integrate the structure into our day-to-day nature, and as a result, we can begin creating standards and expectations that we feel aligned with. It’s important to not create too many limits - that’s not that point. The point is to create particular boundary lines that benefit us in our long-term goals.

  • Sun trine Moon - Tagging along, we have the Sun trine Moon, which can encourage the right balance between wishing and wanting. This is an ideal time to truly tap into what it is what we want, and confirm whether it is what our hearts want. Now, I will say that this alignment is not personal to you (unless you are an Aquarius Sun with a Gemini Moon); however, this alignment can influence (depending on your chart) a relative peace between your Sun and your Moon. With all of that said, please do not make promises with the assumption that you are in alignment. Instead, please consider that what feels aligned might shift over tomorrow. You very well may feel super inspired to confidently make promises and do as you feel is right, but tomorrow you might wake up feeling otherwise. The aspects I’m sharing are not personal to your chart, unless by the degree you have calculated they are. That said, allow them some breathing space, take note of what you feel, and give yourself another day.

  • Moon square Neptune- Moon Square Neptune can create some additional confusion, as if we weren’t already feeling it, and can lead to some unsuspecting moments. Be cautious of those who are super good at deceiving. Let me describe a situation to you. If you have someone in your life who tends to rub your shoulder the wrong way; if on this day they begin to rub your shoulder the right way, be suspicious and don’t fall into it. With Neptune creating a challenging relationship with the Moon, you can easily fall into a trap of a sort that you hadn’t suspected. This is not to say that everyone is suspicious or should be under the radar. But (and dependent on your chart), try and keep a bit of distance so you can observe behavior. Your intuition always knows. So listen to it.

February 11: Moon in Cancer

The Moon dips into Cancer on February 11, 2021, at 3:27 PM. This means we begin the day with a Gemini Moon, but end with a Cancerian Moon. The moon is at home in Cancer; increasing chances of imagination, nurturance, vibrant, and sensitive kinds of energy. The Moon traditionally rules Cancer, and as such, both are very cyclical energies that every shift and continuously change as if on a waterfront. As if giving all people a break from any particular lessons or expectations, allow this day to be an opportunity of which you can fully connect inward with yourself, and meditate with what and how you feel (especially in particular with the house cancer rules for you).

February 12: On this day, we have our Cancer Moon making aspects between Chiron, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus, and Venus.

  • Moon square Chiron - This aspect can encourage us to truly tap into a higher awareness of emotions, and the higher self in general. Some deeper wounds can come to the surface, and possibly even wounds pertaining to our upbringing and the nurturance around that. With the Cancer Moon, highlighting the significance of emotional security, and this particular aspect, highly the possible wounds around our emotional security, we are being provided a safe place to explore and uncover these pains.

  • Moon trine Jupiter - Moon trine Jupiter can extend that confidence boost, as well as a deep level of trust we may need to further open up. We might extend it, or we might receive deep levels of generosity, and may even find ourselves in a lucky position where we happen to receive benefitting energy from the most perfect person who can share insight and wisdom. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself excited by ideals that exceed your personal experience.

  • Moon sextile Uranus - This aspect encourages the integration of both emotional security and independent freedom. This aspect can amplify our liveliness and can increase our intuition. We can use this energy to tap further into whatever it is that comes up. Uranus is spontaneous and abrupt. If we remain open to the emotions or feelings that it inspires within us at a moment's notice, we can observe the timing and environmental factors surrounding that emotion. Perhaps there is a sign within it all that speaks of a theme or message, and all we really have to do is be open to its arrival.

  • Moon opposite Mars - With the Moon opposite Mars, we can encounter some tension forming. As if on theme with everything that is happening on this day, deeply dosed wounds might combust as a result of passion-fueled irritability - most likely provoked because of some reminder of our upbringing. Emotional security is typically established once we are born; but if there were some difficulties while we were newborns, or even temporary difficulties while we were super young, that emotional security could have been stripped. Even if just an hour we were ignored, as newborns, the instinct tells us we won’t survive, and this alone causes trauma and can result in an unsupported understanding of emotional security. This aspect can also speak to a discord between what we feel and what we do. Our actions may not reflect properly how we feel, and vice-versa, our feelings may not reflect our actions. If this should happen, we likely should pull back, and allow some rationality to determine what actions best align with us.

  • Moon opposite Venus - This aspect can indicate a more sensitive or moody kind of behavior. Should conflicts arrive on a relational level, it’s best to provide some space to then allow for a personal connection in a private way. What I mean by that is, allowing yourself privacy to then connect deep into your side of the equation, and then the other side of the equation. The cancer moon may entice us to be a bit subjective, but remember, all things are reflective of us, and all issues can speak to larger issues occurring internally. So if, by chance, a relational issue arrives, allow yourselves to understand the issue subjectively and objectively, with a heart towards all sides of the discussion - even if you disagree. The important thing is that you feel emotionally secure and safe. This aspect can speak to conflicts between that emotional security, and that which we desire. Allowing a balance is likely the best and most efficient choice.

February 13:

We end the week with the Moon still in Cancer, its home base, and where it is most comfortable.

  • Moon trine Neptune - This aspect is possibly one of the better aspects we will see today. And, just as Neptune can often be, it will likely be the scapegoat that helps us handle any conflicts that may arrive as a result of Moon opposite Pluto, and Moon opposite Mercury (and no, while they are certainly flirting, and while we might feel some of that conjunction energy, Mercury and Pluto are not quite conjunct just yet). The energy of Moon trine Neptune can influence a finer intuitive sense. We might find ourselves knocking things on the nail when we follow our intuition and listen to our gut. We can be exposed to a deeper understanding of what is happening around us, and evaluate our surroundings better than usual. As Neptune always does, the desire to unify with others in soul-connecting ways may be prevalent. But as long as we remember that we are not alone, and always interconnected, we can avoid feelings of isolation. That said, of course, use this energy to connect to others. They’d love to hear what messages you may be channeling, or what creativity is being shared with you.

  • Moon opposite Pluto - Just like last week, we end this week with some Pluto drama. And as before, we might encounter some monsters leaking out that are desperate for attention. It is time, yet again, to respond to these creatures who we unfairly deemed, “monsters.” It is important that we refrain from allowing whatever traumas they have in their pockets to influence any sort of manipulative, controlling, or obsessive types of behaviors. This is life, and not all things are black and white - and to allow our fears, traumas, or wounds to dictate this as a means of victimizing ourselves is ridiculous. It’s time to tap into our feelings, it’s time to cry with our shadows, and it’s time to release these old stories that no longer apply nor are needed. Allow the healing and recognition of these shadows to empower you and lift you up. Allow the connection of your emotions that surround whatever it is that comes up to release you of any extra weight you have been carrying on your shoulder. We can still be empowered by Pluto while crying our eyes out in response to the wounds it exposes us to. Pluto represents power. It encourages us to become powerful. And it knows the only way to do that is to dig deep, face the wound, excavate it, and heal.

  • Moon opposite Mercury - This aspect can influence a bit of discord between what we are feeling, and what we are saying. We might struggle in finding the right words that properly express what we mean/overcomplicate the issue, and on the flip side, we might find ourselves barely speaking any words at all, preferring the superficial route that glazes over how we feel. Certainly be mindful of the words you choose; ensuring they reflect who you are, and align with what you hope to express. This is certainly a day that I'd suggest pulling it in a bit and preferencing a more reserved kind of nature versus extroversion.

And before we end, another friendly reminder that HOW the planet's movements will affect you is entirely dependent on your personal chart.

Thanks for hanging in there. There was much to discuss. This is content is all written out as a blog on my website, wildfloweresinthesky.com. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
