Hello and welcome back to Wild Flowers In The Sky!
Back in December, I had dreamed up of a fantastic number of content pieces to share with you; but once January hit, I found myself overwhelmed with balancing so many plates, I had to sit one out. Unfortunately, and admittedly, that was this business.
Something I recently learned about myself is that I have this tendency to take on a million projects at once, as a means to distract and/or avoid other responsibilities. Like many people out there, I have trouble believing in myself, my endeavors, and my passions. I have these weird fears shaped around them, and allow for them to hold me back (hence why I have been in so many courses to help blast away these limiting beliefs). I’ll admit, it is still a work in progress, but one that is steadily taking form, and sure enough, knocking away the shitty thoughts and restrictive assumptions.
Fortunately, a lot of those original responsibilities are falling away, and we are finally in a place (and with a better frame of mind) to give my all to the places that deserve them. I appreciate you sticking with me, and being patient with me.
Today we are discussing the general energy we may encounter while journeying through the week, starting with Monday, January 31, 2022, to Sunday, February 6, 2022. As you may know (if you have followed me long enough), I have some pretty strong opinions around generalized horoscopes; however, I have received requests and comments from others, indicating a comfort from reading them. So, as long as you are aware that generalized horoscopes are exactly that - general; and you are aware that the only horoscopes that can come close to accurate are those based upon your personal chart, I am okay with sharing the more generalized information.
Please do note that you should take these with a grain of salt; consult your personal chart for more accurate information, and be sure to listen for your Rising Sign specifically. While it wouldn’t hurt to listen to your Sun Sign, it is likely to be less accurate.
Looking at a bird’s eye view of this week, we can see that we start the week with a New Moon in Aquarius, aligning with the last day of the January month, and hitting at 9:46 pm PST. It then moves to Pisces on the 2nd, to Aries on the 4, and then we end the week with the moon transiting Taurus.
Alina Brown, in her “Auralign,” says, “The new moon is an ideal time for starting any new projects or habits. And as the moon is at its lowest energy, we too can feel called towards honoring our needs for a little more rest + self-care. It’s a time for new beginnings and planting seeds for anything you’d like to grow this next year, season, or lunar cycle. This is the optimal time for setting a relaxing mood, and writing our in detail what you’d like to manifest.”
It seems that with the trending hype around the moons, many are very familiar with the idea that the New Moon is to do with all things Beginning. Even the word, “New” can infer this. I’m not an expert on the different phases of the moons, as i haven’t quite studied that just yet; but I will say that I do feel there is much more to this than the very superficial idea of new-ness. When I learn it, I will share it.
All the same, there are a few ways we can use the New Moon. We can either look back at this most recent Full Moon, and compare our progress of whatever journey we have started forth on; or we can compare our progress to that of the last Full Moon in Aquarius, this past Summer. I’d suggest the latter - comparing how your journey has manifested thus far since that Summer Full Moon; and planting any new seeds in accordance to the progress you may have made in this time.
With the New Moon taking place in Aquarius, there is a possibility our intentions take on a more innovative flavor. We may notice that inspiration comes in the form of inventiveness; and we might find ourselves swayed by idealistic and/or abstract thoughts. We may feel inclined to plant more socially-based seeds along our upcoming journey; and we might either aspire to improve our goals, or have goals that focus on improving other situations. Use this time to share your intentions with those who have a similar way of thinking as you do, and be open to suggestions if a loved one shares a better approach.
As I love to teach, I want to encourage for you to try and consider what this New Moon in Aquarius may mean for you; but that starts with understanding the Aquarius archetype. Many mistake Aquarius for Uranus - and I assure you, it is not Uranus. Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius, meaning it was most recently assigned to the sign. The traditional ruler of Aquarius is Saturn. So until a few decades ago, Aquarius was aligned with Saturn - which is a very tradition-based, calcified, but full of wisdom planet. Once the rulership was updated for Aquarius to be ruled by Uranus, suddenly descriptions of the sign began to include definitions that pertained particularly to Uranus. Uranus is a planet that breaks all, and shakes things up - and this archetype has somehow bled onto Aquarius. Aquarius couldn’t be further. Sure enough, Aquarius values freedom - but that’s because it is a humanitarian. Aquarius doesn’t want to completely destroy that which is old or outdated, having been traditionally ruled by Saturn, it DOES value tradition; that said, it does want to *improve*, and *reform*. One of my teachers once said that if we ever consider the social welfare program, and the idea of ensuring all receive equal benefits, then we can have a better idea of Aquarius. Unlike Uranus who would want to completely obliterate the standing government and significantly change it; Aquarius values the standing government, but does want to improve it so that everyone has equal benefits + shares. This leads us to understanding the innovativeness of the sign, the inventiveness of the sign, the humanitarian, the reformer, the rationalist, and so on.
A quote by Hajo Banzhaf + Anna Haebler in their book, “Key Words for Astrology:” “Aquarius topples old values in order to replace them with new ones.” With that said, I’ll share brief New Moon scopes for each sign.
Aries - The desire to find those who share a similar goals may be ignited by this new moon. This can be a time of increased focus on your social circle, and more attention may have been put into this area. Comfort can come from associating ourselves with those who understanding where we are coming from, and where we want to go.
Taurus - While there may be challenging flavors trickled within it, as long as you are up for the ride, this can be a period of time of which you address and overcome certain blockages within your endeavors. Whether you take this on a goal front, or take this on a career front, you are being tasked with seeing what a new approach might bring. If it’s not already working - then something needs to change. Use this innovative energy to improve your situation so it reflects your aspirations, and sure enough your public reputation will follow accordingly.
Gemini - It’s time to bring your imagination into play as you consider the philosophies you want to stand by, and that you resonate with as a reflection of the vision you have for this lifetime. Fleeting interest in all topics can cause for lack of comprehension - meaning, you might knock away the perfect teaching all because you didn’t deeper dive into it. Set your intentions + take it seriously. Perhaps instead of looking externally for lessons, consider looking internally for what you currently understand; find the ones that have the most holes, and go from there.
Cancer - You may want to set some intentions that include the exploration of the deeper parts of you. The deeper you go within, the deeper your understanding of all others - including those you love; includingn your lineage, and ancestry. Just be mindful that your goals do not push beyond your own comfort zone. Even if right now it seems enticing, we must ensure we are psychologically ready for whatever diving deep into ourselves entails of. Shadow work is no easy experience - especially we aren’t actually read for it. So dive deep, yes. Explore the more taboo parts of you, yes. Befriend your shadow, yes. But do it conscientiously.
Leo - This is a great time to set intentions around understanding + accepting all parts of you. And this is not an easy feat - so prepare for some tension. If you aren’t sure what parts of you are struggling to accept - take a look at the people who appear consistently in your life, and who repulse you - the same people that you wonder to yourself, “Why do these type of people keep coming into my life?” There’s a glimmer of you within it. Doesn’t me you are repulsive, but you may be denying a piece of yourself (likely because it meshes with your value system, or society deemed it unacceptable). You are always acceptable, and all parts of you are needed to become whole. It’d be best if you did this with a loved one, or a coach/therapist.
Virgo - You may want to consider setting intentions around forming boundaries when it comes to the amount of work and responsibility you are taking on. Consider including goals that are all to do with your health - physically, mentally, and emotionally; and ensure you have some time to breathe. While daily tasks can nourish, they can also hamper + overwhelm. You have the right influence taking over - now it’s a matter of moderating that influence. Be a little inventive with this, and take on a more innovative approach with the time you save for yourself.
Libra - If you’re interested in Innerchild Work - this is an excellent time to tap into that. Realistically, all times are optimal for this work, but the way the energy is right now, there is much encouragement in the growth that can be achieved by acting on it now. Consider setting intentions that include being more in touch with what it is you do like, and what it is you don’t like. That can be a little hard if those decisions haven’t already been established, but your journey is to discover this anyway. Use your social circle (if needed), and find the things you like - then do them. Have fun! You are already accustomed to the abstract - so go for it.
Scorpio - I encourage you to include, “understanding personal emotional blockages” on your list of intentions. Some of us have emotional dependencies in some way or form, and others of us don’t. Whatever situation you are in, this is a great time of evaluating your emotional security system. Though you are naturally a deep person, the energy in the air is objective and rational; if you choose to tap into this, you may be able to view your own emotional world and gain enlightenment. This isn’t easy, and it’s uncomfortable, but it’s time we assess who it is you are calling family, or who you have placed in your circle of, “loved ones.”
Sagittarius - Your a well of wisdom, and it’s time to share what you know. Set some intentions around mindfully + respectfully sharing your understandings to those who are not educated in the ways you are. This doesn’t mean to fly off and spout your opinion wherever you deem; this means logically inputting your wisdom so others can benefit off of it. If others cannot benefit, then it’s possible it isn’t the time to share. People want to hear you, and that feels great; but remain open minded to what others have to say, and be considerate to any counter-thoughts. These discussions are meant to happen - not just for you to enlighten others, but for others to enlighten you.
Capricorn - We humans tend to hold on to anything we deem valuable; however, it isn’t always rational or logical. I encourage you to set some intentions around releasing yourself of any possessions you are holding onto for history sake. Historic articles are valuable - but that’s the question. Is what you’re holding onto actually valuable, or something that feels historic? Is it actually history, or is it a part of your history? Does it hold a purpose? It’s time to be rational, and logical with our possessions and funds. Whatever we may have a tight lip on, it’s time to release a bit of the grip.
Aquarius - This is your time to express yourself. But particularly right now, you are a stronger intuitive sense, and keener insight into what is occurring around you at a worldly level. There can be a tendency to become a bit more passive than active. This is a great time to set intentions around always remaining true to you. Determine what that looks like, and follow suit. Who are you now, who do you want to be, and what steps do you need to get there? This is the time to plant those seeds.
Pisces - If you’re feeling an inclination to pull away and isolate - do it. This may be a more quiet time than usual, and the influence may be to hunker down, and seclude. If you’re drawn to meditate, then meditate. If you find yourself channeling messages - don’t doubt them, allow them to come. The air about is one that is rational and logical, and that may counter with some of the experiences you may be having - however, logic can mesh quite well with the more spiritual sides of things. I encourage you to set intentions around accepting your personal needs, and not judging whatever comes up for you, or whatever urges you have. This is a time to connect and be.

Tuesday, February 1
We begin this day with Saturn squat perfectly between the Sun + the Moon in Aquarius, amplifying the Saturnian theme we've been experiencing since Aquarius season began. While the Sun and Saturn will meet up here shortly, at the start of this day, the Moon is conjunct Saturn in Aquarius (meaning they are so close, they could high-five). This can lead to an influence of emotional restrictiveness; conversely, it can also lead to a day of healthy boundary forming. We get to decide how we choose to react to the energies before us. As such, we determine if we are forming solid healthy boundaries, or if we restrict our own emotions in the name of another, or a situation/responsibility. We may also still be reeling from the New Moon experience; and in my opinion, this is a great buffer day of really hunkering down on those intention settings.
—------------------------
Wednesday, February 2
Early February 2, we will observe the ingress of the Moon in Pisces. With this comes another high-five shared between the moon and Jupiter, and later a loving peck from Venus. This sets a very dreamy and optimistic tone - one that has the power to whisk us away, and overindulge. It’s important we remain as mindful as possible. This doesn’t mean we should fight the energy; but it means to ensure every choice you make is one that is in full alignment with you. Whenever I see the moon conjunct Jupiter, I tend to think of this combination as a “drunk in love with life,” kind of complex. You may feel very generous, and confident. If we let this get to our heads, we may over-promise, overextend, and find ourselves lazy. Again, we get to decide what we do with this energy; so be mindful. If you’re feeling extra positive and optimistic - then great; but probably wait to extend yourself with a promise, because you may wake up tomorrow and feel totally different about the situation. Overall, remain as mindful as you can towards whatever it is you give into that brings you peace - whether it’s love, whether it’s sweets, whether it’s tv binging, etc.
Thursday, February 3
Today’s moon takes on an even more dreamier tone as it conjuncts Neptune, aka giving it a shake of the hands; and later in the day, sextiles Mercury (in a cozy and harmonious relationship). We might find ourselves drawn towards anything that assumes to provide an ethereal definition of love; and we can be influenced by the desire to drift away in our fantasies and dreams. Allow yourself to channel whatever it is that may come through - our intuitions are potentially on high, and our senses on high alert. Use this time to seek for the love within, and not through the external world. We can use this day to further connect with our souls, and bring the attention back to the relationship we have with ourselves. It’s so easy to assume that the love we crave is outside of us - whether a person, whether a divine being, whether the universe; but we must always remember that we are what makes ourselves whole, because we are and have always been whole. We were made whole. And while we can have and form the relationships we have with others, with God, with Spirit, with Universe, at the end of the day, we will always seek love from ourselves as well. It’s time to call that in, and develop that love and trust, if not already formed. Should you find yourself seeking to escape, try your hardest to avoid. Refrain from any sort of vice - video games, tv, fictional stories, social media, drugs (inclusive of alcohol), etc. Give yourself what you need, and return back to you. Then, as the day progresses, channel it. Allow it to become something that transitions from a feeling or emotional experience, to one that can be articulated. Sometimes we have these incredible experiences entirely sober; but the impact was so great that we totally lose the message, as if drunk when it happened. What’s coming is Going. And so these messages, these understandings, these knowings are coming, and so we must record them in some way.
Friday, February 4
Friday begins with the moon in Pisces sextile pluto (a positive relationship), and later, as it shifts into Aries, it forms a square with Mars (a sort of tense relationship). A bit messy on the lingo - so lets break it down. This Friday may be a powerful sort of a day, and the direction of this truly depends on our own reaction and response to the supplied energy. Pluto and Mars tend to have not-so-positive stigmas about them - of which I totally disagree with. Pluto is a rough planet, because the archetype is one that primarily speaks of transformation. And when we consider the transformation of a butterfly, or the transformation of the enlightenment process, or the transformation of an addict, or the transformation of a child to teen to adult - we can clearly see, it’s not easy. Transformation is NOT easy. It requires pain, it requires time, effort, energy, patience, emotions, and mostly, it requires confrontation with where we were to where we are headed. Within this archetype is destruction - either because during the transformation process, we destruct (ourselves or our world around us); or because we destruct all traces of our old selves to then make room for our new. And it also includes power - because we either lose our power to the process, or attain our power via making it through the process. Mars has a bad name because the ancients referred to it as “malefic.” Not because Mars is inherently bad, but because Mars represents some of the more difficult aspects of life - such as enforcing boundaries; having courage; standing up against; and even forms of aggression. And befitting these energies, we have the Moon taking a stance in Fiery Aries - the sign that is here to state its will; the sign that represents pioneering independence, and confrontation. So, we have these two VERY powerful planets making some sort of relationship with the cardinal Aries Moon this Friday. Now, if it’s not clear, there is a LOT of energy; and we can use it constructively. We are being given the chance to tap into the power within and test the strength of it. Though it may or may not seem like it, we are being empowered! Consider it as if the Universe is providing you a small dose of transformation juice, enabling you to make the changes you need. As my mentor Kathrin Zenkina says, it’s the small steps that lead to quantum leaps. With this Aries energy, we are provided with the influence of going our own direction; doing it our own way. And as you determine whatever it is you want to implement, don’t be surprised if Mars comes around in some shape or form, and challenges you a bit. It could be a mental battle, a friend, a loved one, a coworker. But Mars might be around the corner, and it is in Capricorn. You might have to face doubt, judgment, and disbelief, and this all may come in aggressive forms, or ways that just feel aggressive. Either way, stand tall and remain confident.
Before we move on to Saturday, we have a few major aspects also occurring on this day. I know, there’s a lot!
So, ontop of this dynamite combination of the Aries Moon with Pluto + Mars, we also have Mars sextile Jupiter, Sun conjunct Saturn, and Venus trine Uranus. The good news is that Jupiter aspecting Mars can lighten up the potential Martian challenge that may or may not be around the corner. This can increase our optimism as well as heighten our courage. So though Mars may come to test us, depending on your chart, it can also be a saving grace in amplifying your strength. Sun conjunct Saturn can provide hints to a bit of restrictiveness of the self- perhaps we limit ourselves, or find ourselves learning the hard way, maybe we begin to doubt ourselves. But look - it’s an Aries Moon, with a lot of power behind it. If you feel yourself struggling with confidence or self-assuredness, first and foremost, remember that you are a courageous beast; and also consider applying a bit of structure to whatever it is you are doing. Saturn prefers a bit of order, and even though Aries doesn’t, the Aquarius sun would like rationality applied, and it may make things sail a lot smoother. The last aspect we have to touch on is Venus trine Uranus, which can provide some interest or preference in the more unusual or unique concepts. Again - Aries is all about independence and pioneering, and Uranus enjoys individualization. Not to mention we have an Aquarius Sun. Allow yourself to go down the path less frequented, and should anyone induce fear, doubt, or insecurity, dig deep to find courage, and then apply some rationale to your journey for ease of comfort.
Saturday, February 5
Saturday begins with the Moon having a semi-tense relationship with Venus. This indicates that there is the possibility of being a bit more on the moody side of the spectrum. This aspect calls for higher levels of dissatisfaction, extreme sensitivity, and discord between the need for emotional security, and the temptation of desire. But this doesn’t mean that is it and done with this day - just plain bad moods! We are the creators of our world. We determine what affects us and what doesn’t. We determine what mood we want to be in. As such, if you find yourself feeling overtaken by a moody behavior, then find the release switch you need, and turn that moodiness off. Maybe you watch a sweet movie, maybe you go for a walk and admire nature; maybe you stare at art, or even just dip away from reality. Whatever you need to then find appreciation for your current world. I certainly encourage practicing gratitude. Later in the day, the moon meets up with the Sun + Saturn, both harmonious relationships. The Sun and Moon meeting up can indicate a clearer channel between what we feel, and how we identify ourselves. A connection between the mind + the soul; our wishes align with our wants. A form of balance takes place in the picture. So we went from dissatisfied influence to an influence that encourages harmony within. So if you have a sense of inner peace, certainly tap into that, and allow for it to really take hold. Use the time as a way to connect with what you truly want, and how you truly feel. With the moon aspecting Saturn, we are supplied even more grounding, stable energy. This can encourage us to feel more capable, we may feel excited by the prospect of taking on more responsibility, and possibly even nourished by it. So though the day has the potential of starting a little bumpy, it gradually can become more clear-weathered and positive.
Sunday, February 6
And we finally reach Sunday. On Sunday, the Moon glides on over to Taurus, where it is exalted. Taurus is a very strong sign for the Moon, it grounds the moon, stabilizes it, and influences the moon to be more consistent/enduring than its usual ebb + flow way. And, as if on cue, Mercury + Pluto come to battle and present a challenge. So what does this mean? Well, we may remember how I spoke about Pluto previously. Transformative, powerful, and capable of destruction. Because this relationship is a bit tense, in comparison to the positive + harmonious relationship it shared the other day, we may encounter some difficulties internally. Shadows might poke their heads out, craving to be acknowledged; a struggle with wanting to take power from others, and feelings of powerlessness can potentially overwhelm, and extreme emotions might rake us away. With Mercury in the mix, we also have a possible influence of being a little over-excitable (and thus reactive), lack of connection between the promises we give and the intentions we have, superficial conversations, and lack of orientation, or simply a disconnect between our intellect and actual disposition. It’s easy to see how this day has energies about that can turn even the lightest, most casual conversation into a dangerous confrontation. Lack of understanding, and increased levels of insecurity can truly create a mess if not moderated. So how do we control this? Awareness. And acceptance. Probably not the best day to make promises, as we can’t seem to articulate what we really mean; and probably a good day to ensure we meditate or work out, or do some fort of activity that allows us to release the muck, and increase endorphins. Remain centered, and the paranoia of others trying to control or take away power won’t bite; speak slowly and intentionally, and we won’t speak out of alignment. Take the day step by step, and if a blunder comes, allow it to come in the right spaces. Try to not let your emotions rule you. If something does come up within, it may be a clue that you need to set aside time to confront some inner wounds. The monsters come up forcibly when their time is overdue. Don’t let these monsters ruin your upcoming week. Handle them now so that we start fresh and rejuvenated on Monday:)
Now, my original plan was to also create somethign similar to this for each individual sun sign, and review it a bit more personalized; however, I ran a bit off track in timing, and don’t think i will get to it this week. My goal is to certainly include it, as necessary. I’ll for sure know more as I create the next week’s content.
I hope this information helps in some way; and again, please do take everything with a grain of salt, and know that how the planet’s movements will affect you is entirely dependent on your personal chart, and not the general view. And like I said, hopefully next week I’ll have ready for you the general view, and the individual sun-sign/Ascendent view.
This is content is all written out as a blog on my website, wildfloweresinthesky.com. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Thank you!
